Jacob Gilliatte, the planning committee chair for the 2019 Fairbanks Circle of Hope Dinner, was interviewed by Indianapolis country music radio station 95.5 WFMS. Listen to the interview below.
This year’s Circle of Hope Dinner is April 18 at The Westin Indianapolis, 241 W. Washington St. The annual fundraising event is held each spring to raise awareness about alcohol and drug addiction. The event is also a celebration of hope featuring faces and voices of those in recovery.
Proceeds support the Fairbanks Patient Assistance Fund for those in recovery who are uninsured or under-insured. In its last fiscal year, the nonprofit organization devoted nearly 10% of its operating revenue – approximately $2 million – for patients who couldn’t afford treatment.
Austin Eubanks is this year’s keynote speaker. He was injured in the 1999 Columbine High School shooting, an experience that led him through a painful journey of addiction and recovery. Eubanks is now a nationally-recognized speaker and expert on addiction treatment and behavioral health.
