ICAN Pups Visit Fairbanks

Indiana Canine Assistant Network’s (ICAN) mission is to train and place assistance dogs with persons with disabilities throughout the state of Indiana. Utilizing a focused and intensive two-year training program, ICAN works with a dog’s innate temperament and eagerness, along with a 100% positive reinforcement training model, in order to prepare service dogs to meet the special needs of their clients.

Recently, Fairbanks formed a relationship with ICAN. To help socialize the puppies in the program, ICAN will visit the Fairbanks adolescent and Odyssey units twice a week for the remainder of the year. Twelve-week-old Mazie visited last week and she had just as much fun as our patients. We can barely handle the cuteness!
