Hope Academy to Provide Free Transportation in 2014

Free transportation is now available to Hope Academy students. Transportation services will be provided by Miller Transportation and will offer three pick up and drop off locations throughout the city of Indianapolis. Bus stop times and locations are:

7:30 a.m. & 5:00 p.m. Kmart Parking Lot on West Washington Street
7:50 a.m. & 4:30 p.m. Southern Plaza, near Pizza Hut on the South Side
8:15 a.m. & 4:00 p.m. 25th & Post Road, near Denny’s Restaurant

According to Hope Academy Principal Gale Stone, transportation is the most common reason students have had issues with attendance or have been unable to attend the school. “The need for Hope Academy is great within our community, but the transportation barrier has been a problem for quite some time,” said Stone. “We are hopeful that by eliminating this barrier, more students will be able to attend Hope Academy and have a real chance at sobriety and academic success.”

Hope Academy is located on the northeast side of Indianapolis. It is a fully accredited, tuition-free, Indiana public charter high school that provides opportunities for academic achievement, sobriety and personal growth for students and their families.
