Fairbanks Featured During White House Twitter Chat
September 18, 2014
Yesterday, ONDCP celebrated Recovery Month’s 25th Anniversary at the White House! Hope Academy and Fairbanks participated in the Twitter chat featuring two past Fairbanks Circle of Hope Dinner speakers, Laurie Dhue and Cris Carter. Acting Director of National Drug Control Policy Michael Botticelli selected tweets from Hope Academy Principal Linda Gagyi and Fairbanks Communications Coordinator Aisha Herring to answer during the live chat! A special thank you to Rachelle Gardner, Hope Academy Chief Operating Officer and Fairbanks Director of Adolescent Services, for representing us in Washington, DC!

Fairbanks Communications Coordinator Aisha Herring asked, "How can we change the perception of addiction and recovery in the African American community?"
Linda Gagyi, Hope Academy Principal, asked this question on behalf of the students. "What is your advice for sober teens going to college?"
