Fairbanks Educating Grade School Students about Addiction and Recovery

Fairbanks Outpatient Clinical Supervisor Michelle White was recently interviewed about addiction and treatment by two writers well before their time—Allisonville Elementary Fifth Graders, Mary and Sam!

“The students were extremely prepared and asked really good questions. They really wanted to know what they could do to help and raise awareness,” said Michelle. “Today, kids are aware at an earlier age because more people are affected by it or using, but more people are also getting help.”
