Fairbanks 2014 United Way Campaign
August 29, 2014
As a United Way agency, Fairbanks dedicates two weeks each year to raise funds for the United Way of Central Indiana’s Annual Campaign. The monies raised support agencies in Central Indiana that provide a variety of services to people in need. We kicked off our 2014 United Way Pacesetter Campaign on August 11 using the slogan, “One Team, One Mission to Live United”. Our theme for the kickoff was a tailgate party and staff was encouraged to show their team spirit by wearing their favorite sports gear. Tailgate food was provided and a torchbearer from another local agency, Prime Life, spoke to our employees about the importance of supporting the United Way.
Employees were encouraged to give through payroll donation and given other fun ways to show support. Employees purchased team player awards for coworkers they wanted to recognize. We also held a 50/50 raffle and two-day bake sale with some yummy desserts baked by our staff. We ended the first week of the campaign with our first ever, fun and entertaining, Pie in the Face fundraiser featuring some of our leadership members. These fundraisers raised nearly $800, which contributed to our final donation total of $30,000! Thank you everyone who participated and contributed to this year’s campaign. Check out the fun from our campaign in the pictures below!
