Parent Support Group at Fairbanks
The disease of addiction affect everyone in a family, not just the individual. Facing the realities of this disease can be difficult for many patients to understand. Several years ago, several parents and the staff of Fairbanks, created a support group to help families cope with the disease of addiction.
The Parent Support Group meets at Fairbanks each Thursday night from 7:30 pm – 9:00 pm. It is an excellent opportunity to share concerns, experiences and fellowship with other families. Parents are all on the same journey dealing with the disease. The parent support group offers an opportunity to discuss this odyssey with others who have traveled the same path. There is no fee to attend, and all parents and guardians of Hope Academy students are welcome to attend.
