Fairbanks Circle of Hope Dinner
Thank you to everyone who supported our 2017 Fairbanks Circle of Hope Dinner. This year’s event had an attendance of 562 and raised over $170,500! That surpassed our fundraising goal and is the most raised in the 16-year history of the Fairbanks Circle of Hope Dinner!
Save the date: The 2018 Fairbanks Circle of Hope Dinner is April 26!
The annual Fairbanks Circle of Hope Dinner raises awareness in our community about alcohol and drug addiction. The event is a celebration of hope featuring faces and voices of those in recovery from addiction. The Richard M. Fairbanks Circle of Hope Award is presented to an individual or organization making outstanding contributions to the field of addiction. Proceeds from the Fairbanks Circle of Hope Dinner support programs and services at Fairbanks, La Verna Lodge and Hope Academy.
2017 Keynote Speaker:
Daniel Rodriguez, the Brooklyn-born, now-retired New York Police Department officer, helped uplift the country after the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks with his stirring rendition of “God Bless America” at numerous memorial events and on television. Witnessing firsthand the tragedy of 9/11 made him realize how fleeting life is.
But that is just one aspect of Rodriguez’s life. Another is his triumph over addiction.
