Intensive Outpatient Programs for Adolescents

As a participant in the Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), adolescents and their families will be educated about the disease of addiction, a 12-step recovery program, relapse prevention, leisure resources, social skills, coping skills, and self evaluation skills. We challenge our young people to evaluate how their substance use has impacted their life. Our goal is to help them identify what changes they need to make in their life and develop an individual recovery management plan.

Each participant in the adolescent IOP program will meet with his or her primary counselor throughout the week during the evenings. At Fairbanks, we strongly believe in family involvement for young people who are in treatment. We offer family education groups and multifamily groups to help family members gain an understanding of their roles in the life of their loved one in treatment.

Our goal is to assist each adolescent in identifying the changes they need to make in their life and give them the recovery tools they need for a substance free and successful life.
