We understand how difficult it can be when a young person struggles with drug and alcohol abuse or addiction. At Fairbanks, we are committed to the enrichment of personal choices, strengths and values of our adolescents. Individualized treatment needs are met though different levels of care. Our expert staff will assist you and your family with recommending the appropriate treatment level.
Detox is designed for adolescents likely to experience serious withdrawal complications requiring medical intervention. Patients are medically stabilized and detoxified under 24-hour medical management. A comprehensive evaluation is conducted during this stage of treatment to determine the appropriate level of ongoing care.
The goal of rehabilitation is to provide you and your family with education regarding chemical dependency. During rehab, we provide education about addiction, the 12 step program and an assessment of the severity of each individual’s drug/alcohol use. This program will also provide insight into appropriate behaviors that will help our young people become more successful in recovery and in life. We encourage family members to attend the family education groups and individual family sessions.
The adolescent residential program at Fairbanks is designed to provide a long-term residential environment where structure, safety, self-expression and responsible decisions are encouraged. Here residents can learn appropriate social interaction, problem solving skills and a sense of responsibility. This program allows young people a transitional period in a recovery oriented environment with the anticipation of returning back to a home environment.
Supporting your loved one while in treatment is an important part of our program. Fairbanks incorporates visitation with our family programs, which provides loved ones with information about addiction and recovery. Programming involves group therapy, education and support meetings facilitated by our expert staff. Learn more about hours of visitation and family programming for your loved one on the Family Programs page.
