Detoxification Services
The most acute level of care, detoxification, is designed for individuals likely to experience serious withdrawal complications requiring medical intervention. Patients are medically stabilized and detoxified under 24-hour medical management by physicians and nurses. A comprehensive evaluation is conducted during this stage of treatment to determine the appropriate level of ongoing care.
- Acupuncture Detoxification is offered as way to compliment all of our inpatient levels of care to both adults and adolescents to assist the patient in addiction treatment. Dr. Timothy Kelly, Fairbanks medical director, medically manages the process. The five-point protocol, located in the ear is currently used by 60 percent of Fairbanks adult and adolescent patients. According to our patient surveys, 90 percent of the participants say that acupuncture helps them with relaxation, and more than 70 percent say they have a positive change in their mood.
