UPS Foundation helps Fairbanks with Kresge challenge grant
INDIANAPOLIS – Fairbanks, alcohol and drug treatment facility was awarded a $500,000 Capital Challenge grant from the Kresge Foundation. With a capital campaign goal of $6.6 million, Fairbanks has $1 million left to raise for the Fairbanks Recovery Center, and the UPS Foundation has contributed $25,000 toward the goal.
"We have 14 months to raise the funds to meet the Kresge challenge," said Helene Cross, president and CEO of Fairbanks. "We are grateful to the UPS Foundation and optimistic that other corporations and individuals will join them in supporting us. These gifts will assist thousands of individuals in their quest for long-term recovery success."
The Fairbanks Recovery Center houses Hope Academy, a charter school offering recovery support, outpatient addiction programming for adults and adolescents, recovery management services, and a volunteer-supported coffee shop.
