HOPE ACADEMY, THE RECOVERY HIGH SCHOOL AT FAIRBANKS, IS NOW ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR STUDENTS IN GRADES 9 THROUGH 12
Indianapolis, IN, July 22, 2008 - Hope Academy, Indiana's only recovery high school committed to sobriety, is accepting applications for grades 9 through 12 for the 2008-2009 school year.
Fairbanks introduced the recovery high school in 2005, when research showed there was a need for a supportive continuum of care after treatment while in recovery. Hope Academy's mission is to provide a safe, sober and challenging school experience for students who share a commitment to education, achievement and personal growth.
The school atmosphere is restorative, small, and nurturing. The staff cares for each student individually and works to make sure they achieve their optimal level of success. The classroom instruction is direct, rigorous, creative, and differentiated to meet the needs of all types of learners.
"Past graduates from Hope Academy have been able to reclaim their dreams of attending college and developing a career plan through their attendance and guidance at Hope Academy," said Gale Stone, Principal of Hope Academy
The first day of school is August 6, 2008 and there is limited availability for enrollment. Hope Academy, a tuition free charter school is accepting 55 students for the 2008-2009 school year.
